Kid Cudi is Already Working on His Second Album, Cudder

Kid Cudi’s first album, Man on the Moon, is still weeks away but he says he’s already brainstorming for his sophomore LP, Cudder. I echo Mo’s sentiment that it’s bad business to discuss your second album before you even drop your first album.

Here’s what his wish list for Cudder looks like:

Andre 3000 Doesn’t Care About Hipsters

andre-cudi
Kid Cudi has taken to his blog to lament (in all caps, of course) that Lilly Allen and Andre 3000 turned down his request for a collaboration, among other things.

Says Cudi:

I ONLY HAVE 3 FEATURES FOR MY ALBUM WHICH IS MY BIG HOMIE SNOOP, KANYE AND COMMON. THE OTHER 2 ARTISTS I ASKED SO FAR TO BE ON MY ALBUM: LILY ALLEN AND ANDRE 3000, HAVE DECLINED MY REQUEST FOR A COLLAB. IT MADE ME REALIZE THO, DO I REALLY WANNA GO IN ON FEATURES? SURE I LIKE THESE ARTISTS BUT THIS FIRST ALBUM NEEDS TO BE ABOUT WUT I CAN DO.

Maybe 3 Stacks just can’t relate to hipster types who wear pink shirts and sing about aliens.

Kid Cudi Needs Your Beats

Attention, all wannabe producers. Kid Cudi’s got a shiny new album coming out sometime this year and he’s in dire need of some aspiring beatmakers to help him craft this future classic. The “Day N Nite” rap-singer needs your beats and he needs them ASAP to complete his album.

“He needs uptempo hip-hop beats with no hooks. So, if you think you got what it takes, submit your beats (max 3 per producer) to Kid Cudi.”

If you’re interested, shoot me an email pronto and I’ll point you in the right direction.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, I can no longer respond to Kid Cudi beat submission inquiries. Apparently, their inbox is already full, pressed down, running over, and bouncing emails. I received 100+ emails in 2 days, so I can imagine how many they received directly.
