Millionaire rappers Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant are set to meet tonight to discuss the promotion of their new “Best of Both Courts” collaborative album on the court for the beginning of the second round of the NBA playoffs. Houston newspapers are reporting that Kobe is day-to-day for tonight’s series opener against the Rockets. Let’s just hope that wondering if number 24 will play isn’t the most interesting part of the second round. That being said, lots of people (including Phil Jackson) aren’t counting the Rockets out just yet:

Ron Ron will take a break from basketball to host a special fundraiser for his foundation, Xcel University, on Monday, March 30, at Capone’s Restaurant and Bar, located at 4304 Westheimer in the River Oaks area of Houston.
The NBA star, who has led the Rockets to seven wins in their last eight games, will be on hand to fix pizzas for the crowd and meet fans. A portion of the food and beverage sales from the night will go to Xcel, which operates and supports youth education programs in Houston and Artest’s native New York.
Well, who knew it. Ron Ron also helps kids enhance their math skills by making them keep count of his basketball stats.
Xcel University launched its first Houston-based initiative this year with Ron Artest’s Math Masters program at Felix Cook, Jr. Elementary School. The program helped students build their math skills by encouraging them to keep track of Ron’s stats throughout the season. Students who excelled in the program were treated to a Rockets game, and will participate in the Ultimate Artest Celebration field day with Ron next month.
Let’s see: Ron’s averaging 17 points, 5 Rebounds, and no less than 11 crazy shots per game. Now where’s my free Rockets ticket?
