Snoop on ‘One Life to Live’
Thursday, May 8th, 2008Thanks, Lindsey
Thanks, Lindsey
Not the worst song on Ego Trippin’. But it’s close.
Directed by, who else, Rik Cordero.
Snoop says he’s going for dolo on this one, with no guest appearances whatsoever. I know of only three rappers that can hold down an entire album with no help (Nas, Em, and Jay), but I could also see Snoop pulling it off…in ‘94. We’ll see.
Ego Trippin’ drops on 3/11/08.
Update - Re: MCs that can hold down an entire disc without sounding redundant or monotonous. I forgot to mention Rakim, Scarface, Common, Royce da 5′9″, and Pharoahe Monch. What an atrocity? Can you think of anyone else?
Obama gets a gangstafied seal of approval from the Dogfather. Real recognize real.

Snoop has nothing else to prove as an MC, so he might as well get all 3000 on us. I’m still not sure what to make of this clip, except that it reminds me of a very bad movie.

David Banner rounded up all the cameo kings on his speed dial and somehow managed to fit their egos on one screen.
