TMZ calls this one of the dumbest displays of wealth. I strongly disagree, and I’ll tell you why. How many times have we seen Soulja Boy flaunting his moola on camera? Remember the Rich N-gga Sh-t series? What about the Lambo chain? Ever wonder why he continues to do it, despite the backlash that usually follows? You see, Soulja Boy is dumb. But he’s smart enough to know that he’s dumb. He plays off of it the same way Kanye plays off his reputation as an egomaniac. This may be the only way Soulja Boy can get people to keep talking about him, since his songs are mostly forgettable.

Soulja Boy bought a black diamond remote-controlled Lamborghini chain. I’ll let you marinate on that for a minute.

As I was saying, Soulja Boy bought (and he’s not even sure if he paid for it or if his jeweler gave it to him as a ridiculously expensive birthday gift) a black diamond-draped remote-control Lambo chain and made a video about it. He then got mad at “the mainstream media” for lashing out at the video.

After I broke the story on Soulja Boy’s Twitter rant, many people called for him to make good on his threat to quit the music business. Soulja Boy had some frustration to get off his chest on Wednesday night, so he launched into a 2-hour Twitter tirade about “crackers” (a far cry from his earlier stance on massa) and his struggles as an artist. I stepped aside for a few minutes only to come back and see that Soulja Boy had deleted all the “cracker” comments. He later attributed the change of heart to some “good advice” he received from Tyrese over the phone. Let me guess, Tyrese told him that if he doesn’t remove those crazy comments he’ll be working at Taco Bell in 6 months.

Good thing Celebtwitter cached the tweets. Rappers never learn, do they? If you don’t want people to know how you feel, never ever ever put it online.

Hey, look who came out of nowhere to dish some words of advice to Chris “Iron Hand” Brown? It’s none other than the legendary Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em, who’s obviously seen his fair share of industry ups and downs at the ripe age of 12:

Says S.Boy:

“[Chris] needs to be focused on fixing himself right now and fixing the relationship,” Soulja Boy reportedly said. “I don’t know what went wrong or what happened exactly, but I couldn’t be more shocked. Both of them are my friends, and I wish both of them the best of luck. They were really good together, and it is sad that it happened. It came out of nowhere. I would have never seen that coming. It is not like him at all. Not his nature.”

You hear that, Chris? You were really good together. Almost as good as Ike & Tina.

Nothing’s more exciting on a weekend than when you’re trolling for another lame Rick Ross diss and instead you find a clip of Soulja Boy making an idiot of himself while attempting to ridicule the late Steve Irwin. My Lame-O-Meter went off immediately after coming in close proximity to this video.

Oh hip-hop fans, why have thou forsaken Soulja Boy? The teen rapper launched a Platinum in a Week campaign in a bid to shift 1 million units of his sophomore album, iSouljaBoyTellem, in a week. He then lunged into weeks of desperate — and sometimes strange — antics. He dropped a pissload of videos explaining why he needed to do Weezy-like numbers, stirred up a wildstorm for feuding with a labelmate, and then apologized for “everything.”

Despite his cry for attention, iSouljaBoyTellem only fell 954,453 records short of Soulja Boy’s goal. The album only managed a measly 45,507 units and entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 43. Even Paris Hilton sold more records in one week.

Soulja Boy had an epiphany, Ladies and Gentlemen. You’ll automatically forget everything — and I mean EVERYTHING — you ever knew about Soulja Boy after watching this video.
