How do you make an already epic web hit like Auto-Tune The News better? That’s easy, add Mr. Auto-Tune himself to the mix.

Don’t get it twisted, T-Pain and his chain are here for the money.

When T-Pain came to Houston a couple weeks ago, I briefly entertained the thought of asking him how he felt about Jay’s attempt to put a nail in Auto-Tune’s coffin on “D.O.A.” but decided against it. I felt it was a weak question at the time. After all, he’s been asked that over and over. Honestly, I was more interested in learning about that big ass chain. Anyone who has the balls to walk around wearing the equivalent of 5 houses on his neck is worth talking to. I ended up asking him how he felt about other artists abusing Auto-Tune and how much longer he thought the device would be around.

He laughed off the first part of my question, “I don’t mind, as long as I’m still the one getting all the Grammys.” But he seemed a bit uncomfortable with the second question. That’s understandable. He perceived that, by asking him to put an expiration date on Auto-Tune’s relevance I was ultimately asking him to put expiration date on his own career. It’s a miracle he didn’t try to bodyslam me.

T-Pain was forced to cancel a scheduled concert in Guyana after receiving “credible death and kidnapping threats.” (Hey Chris Brown, this could be you in Barbados.) Mr. Pain’s Monday performance for Carnival celebrations was nixed following e-mail and phone threats from anonymous sources. No word on whether Anon delivered the threat via Auto-Tune.

In case anyone was wondering, T-Pain wasn’t really playing the piano at the beginning of “Can’t Believe It.” He did a pretty good hosting job though.

50 Cent – “You Won’t Believe It” (Feat. T-Pain)
50 Cent turns the concept of T-Wayne’s “Can’t Believe It” on its head, as he replaces much of the love-struck lyrics with misogynistic prattle. Intentionally or not, he delivers it in a tone so flat even Auto-Tune couldn’t fix it.

It’s comedy gold at best. And Comedy Rap is the only chance Boo Boo has of saving his music career, because this is one area where he’s truly effective.
