Method Man’s New Gig: The Mortician

method_man

Method Man will appear in the upcoming film The Mortician 3D, billed as a gritty, urban drama. The plot is based on one man’s struggle through the violence and corruption of a dying inner city. Like any other Mortician, this guy processes corpses with a stone cold demeanor. Before long, he infects everyone else through his emotionless actions. The $6 million project is set to start filming this month in Louisiana, under the watchful eyes of Rhys Thomas. Other cast members include Angelic Zambrana, Tom Hardy, and Edward Furlong.

Raekwon – Catalina [Music Video]

Sorry Chef, but this was my least favorite track on the otherwise brilliant Cuban Linx 2.

Stephen Colbert vs. The RZA [video]

colbert vs rza
The RZA stopped by the Colbert Report to drop the skinny on his new book. Colbert obviously memorized some Wu-Tang names prior to the show. Pop the lid to see what I’m talking about.

Remember Tekitha?

Tekitha appeared on several Wu-Tang songs back in the day. Here she is gushing to Rolling Out about her days as the First Lady of the Clan.

[Thanks, m2wice]

Method Man ft. Ricky Watters – It’s in the Game

I know what you’re thinking and the answer is yes, THAT Ricky “Runnin” Watters of the Superbowl XXIX champion San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles. One of my best friends is a (Pre-Vick,  Mcnabb, and TO) Eagles fan and he spotted this over at the 700 Level today.

Apparently the Funk Doc’s homeboy is a serious football fan, because he didn’t do this collab for the love of the rap game.

Raekwon – House Of Flying Daggers

raekwon-onlybuilt4cubanlinxiicover

Raekwon ft. Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Kilalh & Method Man – House Of Flying Daggers (produced by J Dilla)

This is what y’all waited to hear! Supposedly the opening track to OB4CLII, Funkmaster Flex debuted this on the radio last night. For now a radio rip will have to do but you know we’ll hit you with the studio version ASAP. Rae goes in alongside some Ghost, Deck & Meth over a Dilla production set off by some vintage kung fu samples. Somebody get they Marty McFly on and get me a copy already, waiting on september 8th takes too long.

Brotherly Love: RZA on the Wu-Tang Clan

gza-rza-b_murray

Bobby Digital spoke with Rhyme and Reason mag on standing at the helm of the Wu brand, inside bickering between clansmen, getting sued by Ghost, and a new album that might sound a little like The Roots. Downloaders should also beware, he goes in on the unauthorized electronic dissemination of his products.

Head over to Rhyme&Reason to check out the interview.

Slaughterhouse Rules They Do Not Have Beef With Wu-Tang

Nickle Nine decrees on-stage that Slaughterhouse has no beef/issues/problems/qualms with Wu-Tang whatsoever.

Truth be told it’s a little too Phil Jackson for me. I was looking forward to these two groups tossing Zen in the waste basket and get to making what I anticipated (before the white flag went in the air) would have been the best beef rap in the last 5 years. Maybe longer. Oh well, there’s always The Game.

[Raise A Glass of Henny to Jessie Maguire for shooting the video.]
