Joe Budden is So Sowwy for Method Man Diss

“I’m trying to behave and get money” — Joe Budden

After two months of non-stop f-ckery, Joe Budden apologizes to Method Man, but says he won’t hesitate to go after Meth’s friends (*cough*Inspectah Deck) if he needs to. Smart move, Slaughterhouse..er…Joey.

Ghostface to Save Music Industry with a Soul Album

So you might’ve heard Ghost is dropping a Soul/R&B album this year. While the rapper/singer role is probably more accepted now than it’s ever been (Drake, Kid Cudi, and countless auto-tuned ’singers’) those familiar with Pretty Toney’s soulful stylings might find a whole album of his singing pretty hard to take. Rest easy, Def Jam’s Lenny S. brings some damage control to the promotion campaign. Hit the jump for a cut supposedly of Ghost’s new album ‘The Wizard Of Poetry’ and further explanation from the man himself. Read the rest of this entry »

The Pros and Cons of Wu-Tang Clan vs. Slaughterhouse

slaughter-mouse

Last night, Andrew put me on to this Inspectah Deck diss track in which he goes at Joe Budden. Though he (Andrew) hailed it as the beginning of the epic battle between the 300 and the Persian army, I was not convinced until I heard the song. Even then, my initial reaction was, “Ok, so they sent Deck? Joey gets no respect.” But at the end of the day, my cynical side is the reasonable side and I realized that he’s the one with an album release date in 2009 listed as TBA. Of course they sent Deck, its all business. Now I’m going to go ahead and assume that if/when Jumpoff responds, he will mention the entire Wu-Tang Clan and I hope and pray that he recruits the help of his co-workers beforehand. So it takes a little imagination and looking forward into the future, but we could legitimately see the battle of the decade beginning before us. That being said, since we all know that Joe Budden has the “Jayceon Taylor disease” which makes him incapable of holding his tongue; we can assume that something will happen. So, here are my pros and cons to what could turn into a very legit battle if the right people get off of the sidelines. Read the rest of this entry »

5 Stupid Habits of an Adolescent Hip-Hop Head

So listen up homeboy, why don't you get taught?

People that follow me on Twitter (shameless plug) might already know how I caught myself singing Big’s hook to Puffy’s ‘Been Around The World’ when I heard Lisa Stansfield on the radio a few days ago. This got me suddenly reminiscing about the ‘No Way Out‘ album and the stupid reason I sold it years ago when I hadn’t yet become the level-headed fellow I now am. History is written down to let humanity learn from past mistakes so follow me after the jump for the top 5 stupid things I did as an adolescent HipHop head. Read the rest of this entry »

Method Man: “What Wu-Tang Breakup?”

Apparently, some people don’t know the definition of the word “forever”, as in the phrase “Wu-tang forever”. And as it would turn out, Ludacris is not familiar with the idea that the Wu-tang Clan Ain’t Nothin’ to F with as evidenced by one of his song entitled Let’s Stay Together. Meth decided to speak up this week to straighten out some of the latest rumors.

“Even Ludacris, who I respect a lot, kind of upset me with a song he had where he mentioned Wu-Tang broke up. No, we didn’t break up! There has never been an official statement that said, ‘We’re done’ or ‘I’m out’. (Before a new group album), there’s things we’ve got to take care of first before anybody even starts to discuss that.” [Contact Music]
