Statik Selektah (w/Bun B & Cory Mo) - “Get Out the Way”
Statik Selektah’s new album has been leaking one track at a time. This one finds Statik pairing Cory Mo and PA’s finest, Bun B, on a mid-tempo banger. I’m feeling this, and that’s not just because the beat has Premier’s fingerprints all over its DNA. Hearing Pimp C’s line from “White Girl”, “You need to learn the game before you try to play,” gave me shivers.

Grafh - “Like Oh (Remix)” [f/ Jadakiss, Jim Jones, Bun B, Prinz]
If you’ve never heard of Grafh, you’re probably not missing much. Dedicated? Yes. Mindblowingly great? No. You should definitely listen to this for the guest verses though, especially Bun’s. And did Jada just spit this right in Jimmy’s face: “These niggas ain’t ballin’, they just shooting around”?

Video: Bun B - “You’re Everything” (Feat. Rick Ross, David Banner, 8-Ball & MJG)

Here’s the music video for Bun B’s “You’re Everything” alongside Officer Rick Ross, David Banner and 8-Ball & MJG. It’s definitely a celebration of southern swag.

Bun definitely came back hard this year, despite dealing with the difficult loss of his friend and partner-in-rhyme Pimp C. II Trill is still in rotation because of songs like this.

Termanology & Bun B - “How We Rock” (prod. by Premier)

Termanology - “How We Rock” (Feat. Bun B)
Produced By: DJ Premier

“How We Rock” finds Termanology trading bars with B-U-N B, while legendary sound architect DJ Premier mans the boards. This is obviously every new rapper’s dream session. The OG, the rookie, and the Trill. To quote Bun, “With Premier on the beat and Termanology, you gotta love it.”

Term tells the backstory:

“Around the time when I released “Watch How It Go Down,” Bun B reached out to Premier and expressed interest in working with me. I ended up hanging with Bun at his birthday party in Houston and me Preem & Bun cooked up this track for my album.”

“How We Rock” is the first single from Termanology’s Politics As Usual, due out September 30th. I gather they’re also shooting a video for the song, so keep an eye out for that.
